This special event is hosted by the science and health science students of the ECU. There will be a talk from Andrew Ford entitled: When did I begin?: Bioethics and Hope, and God followed by question and discussion time.

Bring your friends to what will no doubt be an informative and challenging afternoon.

Profile of Andrew Ford

Currently Andrew is on the Faculty of Moore theological College Sydney, teaching Christian Ethics and Early Church History. One of his areas of research concerns the ethical issues that are a part of the burgeoning medical technologies which hold both great possibilities and challenges, especially for our understanding of what it is to be human. Andrew is also a member of the Social Issues Executive- Anglican Dioceses of Sydney.

Prior to his work in training and research at Moore College, Andrew spent 6 years in parish ministry in both Broome, WA, and the inner city of Sydney- St. Barnabas, Broadway.

As well as his theological studies, Andrew has a Science degree (majoring in Genetics and Cell Biology), and a PhD in Medicine. His medical research explored the relationship between the Central Nervous System and the Immune System. This work directly related Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease.
